For example, capybaras are excellent swimmers. They are capable of holding their breath underwater for up to five minutes at a time. On top of that, they can sleep in water with just their noses above the surface for breathing. On land, capybaras can run up to 35 kilometers per hour, which is much faster than the average human. This remarkable speed enables them to escape from many different kinds of predators in the wild.
