Little Frankie loved to dance and practiced dancing in his bedroom. Since he didn’t have a partner, he danced with a broom or a chair. Frankie started participating in dance competitions when he got older. During a contest in 1935, he and his partner, Frieda Washington, performed a new dance move. After a couple of swing dance moves, Frankie and Frieda danced with their back touching each other’s. Then Frieda flipped onto Frankie’s back and went over his head.
