With water temperatures being around 40 degrees Celsius, Eclipse Nordic Hot Springs in Canada’s Yukon Territory is a warm place for people looking to escape the cold winters. In 2011, the spa management introduced an extra element of fun in the form of the Hair Freezing Contest. The event started out with only around 15 participants in the first few years. Since then, the number of participants has risen to about 300, with people coming from all corners of the world.
