As strange as it may sound, it is an actual racing event with a long history. The cheese is intentionally rolled downhill as part of the cheese-rolling race at Cooper’s Hill. This contest has become world-famous for being one of the most dangerous “extreme sports,” landing many contestants in the hospital every year. Common injuries include bruises, scrapes, and broken bones. While no one knows for sure about the origins of this event, several theories have been proposed.
