The “zero-gravity” look is what many people hope to achieve at the Hair Freezing Contest. However, the look requires the temperature to drop to at least minus 20 degrees Celsius for hair to totally freeze. If the weather is any warmer, no matter how hard one tries to shape their hair, it could all fall apart by the time the staff takes the contestant’s photograph. As climate change gets more severe, it’s becoming more likely that people’s dreams of entering the contest will melt away.
