壹苹派生活美语　秘密花园（一）

　　Mary Lennox, a spoiled 10-year-old girl, lives in British India. Neglected by her indifferent parents, she is mostly raised by the servants. However, everything changes when her parents fall ill and pass away. Mary is sent to England to live with her uncle, Archibald, who is unfriendly and doesn’t spend much time at the house. At first, Mary dislikes her new home, but she eventually bonds with a servant named Martha. Martha tells Mary about a secret walled garden, where roses that belonged to Archibald’s wife are growing.

　　玛丽．兰尼克斯是一个住在英属印度被宠坏的十岁女孩。她被冷漠的父母忽略，大部分时间是由仆人抚养长大的。然而，她的父母生病去世后，一切都变了。玛丽被送到英国与她的姑丈阿奇博尔德住在一起，他并不友善，待在家里的时间也不多。起初，玛丽不喜欢她的新家，但她最终与一位名叫玛莎的仆人变得亲近。玛莎告诉玛丽有一个被围墙筑起的秘密花园，里面种植著阿奇博尔德妻子的玫瑰。
